Check Your Office for Bed Bugs

Unfortunately the myth about bed bugs only infecting dirty places is untrue.  Bed bugs travel wherever their warm blooded host is.  The only way to avoid them is to take precautions when you enter a place.  Many people unknowingly get it from their office or workplace because so many people come in and unknowingly spread bed bugs from their homes to their job.  Luckily there are measures you can take to reduce the risk of bringing the little guys home with you.

Start off by inspecting all of the furniture, curtains, cracks crevices, draws and other potential harboring space for bed bugs.  Those places are all potential hiding spots for bed bugs. If you do not know what they look like call a local pest control company or research it online.   Metal chairs and furniture will also effectively reduce the chances of bed bugs spreading because bed bugs are incapable of climbing metal as oppose to upholstered furniture and wood.  Always inspect your clothes on your way to work and on your way back home from work for bed bugs.  Keep your office neat and tidy.  Although a mess may not necessarily attract them it is much harder to identify and eliminate them when there is clutter.  Bringing a hard-case bag or purse will also be a preventive step in stopping bed bug travel.  If you see bed bugs in your home or office call Long Island Exterminator for the most affordable and effective bed bugs removal.
